  Could you live without the internet ?

  well i don't think me and my family could for even 1 day.

  was thinking of moving from sky but when we found out about our data usage i was shocked.

  we use over 80gb per month and we have unlimited package with sky.. we were advised another isp may restrict over a certain level so you best stay with us as we value your account... .

  thought i was going to die at armagedon at the age of 21... 1975.... so i sucked all the juice out of the world.

  smoking, drinking, drugs , bars, party all the time.

  married at 16 with a baby.

  I remember 1975 very well. I remember getting into an argument with an elder, at age 12, because he was convinced October 1975 was going to be it and I knew it wasn't. My mother used to tell me I wouldn't graduate high school

  Well here I am 35 years later. You had to live through the whole buildup to '75 to know how important it was.

  Look I left the Witnesses in 1989, but it took me 9 years before I gave myself permission to let go of the guilt and move on. It was really hard for a lot of reasons but eventually I reached a point where I believed in myself and moved on.

  It's perfectly normal and natural for you to feel out control. Just give yourself a break and do what you need to do to take care of yourself.

  i used to post here...a lot!.

  just thought i'd say hello to you all...you wonderful people who got out of the jw cult!

  i have come to believe that we are an amazing bunch of people - we made our way despite all the odds and fought for individuality - and won.. even today i was told that going back to the hall would solve my problems (by a jw family member) and i honestly can say that i felt amusement.

  Swine Flu

  well, i was wondering if anyone here has had swine flu?.

  i got it last week.. my son, daughter and granddaughter have it now.. jada was sent to the emergency room at the childrens hospitol here yesterday.

  her symptoms were bad and she is under two.. so they sent her there.. the entire emergency room staff, security etc were wearing masks.. apparently it is getting worse here, the amount of cases.. it was a brutal sickness, i can't imagine babies and elderly dealing with it well at all.. although, i got sick with the symptoms a week ago, i feel very weak and tired and have a terrible cough still.. i read on one site the symptoms being disorientation and confusion, which i experianced.. has anyone here had it, how did you survive it?.

  I'm so sorry Purps. I've heard it's nasty. How long does it last? I've heard 3-5 days.

  I had the original swine flu back in 1976. That laid me out for 3 weeks. I was delirious for several days; don't really remember how many. Blew me out of the water on algebra because by the time I got back to school everyone else had been taught but me!
